the project
A new bridge will be constructed on a local road in the municipality of Črna na Koroškem, replacing the current bridge that spans a torrential creek. The abutments of the new bridge will utilize an innovative Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil (GRS) system, which effectively reduces erosion and eliminates the need for traditional anti-erosion measures.
To further enhance sustainability, the safety wall of the bridge will incorporate recycled materials or low-carbon footprint cement. Generative design methods will be applied to minimise material consumption and optimise the design for efficiency.
